Q: Who Can Join Band:?
A: Any 4th grade student.
 
Q: What Band instruments can students play?
A: Baritone, Clarinet, Flute, French Horn, Oboe, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Percussion (Bell Kit),
    * All band students will need the book Standards of Excellence for their instrument. 
       Example:    Standards of Excellence for Clarinet

All lessons begin in September.  Band begins in January.



Q: Who can Join Orchestra:
A: Students may begin the orchestra program in 3rd or 4th grade.
       *All 3rd & 4th grade students will need the book Essential Elements for Strings, Book 1 for their appropriate instrument
         
All lessons & Fourth Grade orchestra begin in September.  Third Grade Orchestra begins in January.


Q: What Orchestra instruments can students play:
A: Cello, Viola, Violin
 
Q: Where can I rent/buy an instrument?
A: Some local Music Vendors are: Music & Arts, Taylor's Music, Troubadour Music - However families may choose any vendors they wish.
 
Q: Who can join Chorus:
A: 3rd & 4th grade students are able to join chorus beginning in September.
 
 Q: What is our Concert Attire:
Barnes & Noble Winter, Surrey Services Spring Concert & In-school Concerts:
Jeans & the HES Rock's T-shirt

Morning Winter Concert:
Festive dress attire.

Spring Concert:
Boys: White dess shirt or polo,  Black pants (no jeans), black shoes (no sneakers).
Girls: White blouse or top (no tank-tops), Black bottoms (pants, dress, or skirt), black shoes (no sneakers).
